Michele Samuel is Courts’ new Country Manager

New Country Manager of Courts St Vincent Limited Michele Samuel says that she is looking forward to the new and exciting path that her professional life has taken.{{more}}

Samuel, who filled the management seat of one of this country’s leading furniture and appliance companies about one month ago, said that she is looking forward to bringing her professional experience to the table.

The former school teacher and banker is a chartered accountant and certified internal auditor, who once worked as a customer service manager and at one time, the chief financial officer of the National Commercial Bank (now Bank of St Vincent and the Grenadines).

“I’m happy to be at Courts,” Samuel told SEARCHLIGHT, during an interview at her office on Wednesday.

“My background is not in retail, but I bring to the position varying experiences in financial management, business management and process and people management, and so it’s new and exciting for me. Each job I’ve held has prepared me for the next one, and so I am ready for this new challenge.”

The new CM said that under her watch, customers can expect the continued and improved excellent service that they have been receiving from Courts, with her primary focuses being on enhancing the customer experience, as well as the training of staff.

She stated that staff will be coached continually in various skills and techniques, which will enable them to bring value home to customers in every way.

“We value our customer experience very highly and will continue to ensure our customers not only get the products that fulfil their needs, but they also enjoy shopping at Courts.”

Samuel said they also wish to continue building their relationship with customers.

“You will find me on the sales floor a lot, interacting with customers and encouraging staff, because we want to maintain a solid relationship with our customers on a one and one basis.

“The staff here is very loyal, hard-working, willing and positive. All our customer services reps have been trained, and we will continue to ensure that we are trained in customer service.”

Samuel said that, in typical Courts fashion, great things are in store for the valued customers, and there is always something in store for customers from which they will benefit.

“We want to make sure our customers live a wholesome lifestyle; we give you quality products that serve your need and we also enhance your lifestyle.

“We are coming up on our Christmas season and we don’t want to let anything out of the bag, but as always, we have our promotions that would see customers being rewarded for their loyalty and for shopping with us,” Samuel said. (JJ)
