Brighton Environmental Leadership Camp to run from August 12 to 23

An environmental leadership camp will be sponsored this summer by the Peace Corps and SVG Football Federation.{{more}}

The camp, called the Brighton Environmental Leadership Camp will run from August 12 to 23.

A release from the organizers said the camp has been endorsed by the Ministry of National Mobilization, Social Development, Family, Gender Affairs, Persons with Disabilities and Youth.

“The camp will promote leadership through addressing Climate Change issues and how they relate to St Vincent and the Grenadines. It will also encourage sports and healthy living through support from the SVG Football Federation,” the release said.

The camp is a youth led initiative and will take place at the new clubhouse in Brighton. The camp is free and meals will be provided to all 40 participants, youth hailing from the Brighton and Diamond area communities.
