Secondary School Bible Quiz committee visits Minister of Education

Three members of the organising committee of the Secondary School Bible Quiz (SSBQ) paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Education, Girlyn Miguel, at her office last week.{{more}}

The three, Joel Jack, Elise Quashie and Jamali Jack, used the opportunity during the June 12 visit to inform the Minister about the nature and objectives of the monthly quiz that has been in existence continuously since November 2007.

Miguel welcomed the committee and offered some suggestions for greater participation. She expressed the importance of citizens’ involvement in the rounded educational development of the young people of the nation.

To mark the occasion, the committee presented the Minister with a copy of the book “Making Things Right” by Dr Paul Faulkner.
