Kismet Beauty Supply hosts two-day nail technician workshop

More than 20 local current and aspiring nail technicians upgraded their skills earlier this week, at a two-day workshop hosted by Kismet Beauty Supply.{{more}}

The women gathered at the Cruise Ship Terminal in Kingstown on May 20 and 21, under the guidance of well known nail technician Frances Mangano of Mia Secret brand.

During the course, the participants were taught the correct application of acrylic to nails, how to care for their equipment, what application techniques would be best suited for their individual clients, how to apply sculpted nails and creating 3D nail art.

They were also introduced to various Mia Secret products, such as Mood changing polish, and the Gelux system, which allows the polish to last up to two weeks.

At the end of the course, the participants were presented with certificates.

The participants indicated that they were pleased to be a part of the workshop, and were grateful for the new information that they received, which they said they would make use of when dealing with their clients.

A Kismet representative said that the workshop was held as a means of continuing education for the technicians, so that they would keep up to date, which would give them a competitive edge.(JJ)
