Record ticket sales for Karen Hinds’ Phenomenal Women Conference in April 2013

St Vincent and the Grenadines is gearing up for the Karen Hinds’ Phenomenal Woman Conference, which will be held at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown on April 13.{{more}}

Long before the early bird deadline of February 28, over 90 per cent of the tickets were already sold for the all-day conference. The Hall, which holds 275 seats, will see women from St Vincent and the Grenadines, the United Kingdom, Dominica, Barbados and the United States attending.

The conference is the brainchild of Karen Hinds, a Vincentian consultant and motivational speaker who owns an employee development firm in the USA. Hinds is also the author of five business books. Her company works with organizations who want their people to be professional each and every day and achieve new levels of performance.

“I am thrilled that we have the opportunity to share some of the work we do in the USA with the women of St Vincent and the region. We have a strong line-up of speakers ready to motivate the women from St Vincent and across the globe who will be attending,” said Hinds.

According to Hinds, this conference is a time for women to recharge their batteries, rediscover and strengthen their dreams and purpose, tune into the feminine qualities that make them phenomenal, and get grounded spiritually. The speakers are real women with life stories designed to inspire and motivate those in attendance, and include Rosanne Small-Morgan, a Vincentian living in the USA, Allison Demers-Campagna from the USA, and Jenifer Johnson from Barbados. There will also be two surprise guests: a gentleman, originally from Jamaica and a special local speaker guaranteed to touch the hearts of all the women.

“We are especially thankful to the business community for their support and could not have done this without their partnerships.” Special recognition to LIME, Searchlight, and Acute Cosmetics, who stepped up to the plate immediately to make this conference a reality.

Through the generosity of a number of businesses, women from different parts of St Vincent, including the far country and Leeward side, and the Grenadines will also attend the conference free of charge. A number of young women from a few secondary schools will attend as speaker liaisons.

“We also want to thank Vitamalt, Organization of American States, Veejays, Mountain Top Springs Limited, Basil’s Bar and Restaurant, First Caribbean International Bank, Multigraphics, Allan Smith Bakery, Beachcombers, The Community Foundation of St Vincent, The Grenadine House, Healthy Lifestyles, GECCU, Mr and Mrs Ken Boyea, Gaymes Bookstore, Clara Providence and Bank of St Vincent for their support,” a release from the organizers said.

A few tickets are still available at Acute Cosmetics, Jujube and Professional Secretarial Services.
