Thomas Saunders Secondary is Bible Quiz winner for January

A Thomas Saunders Secondary School student has won the Secondary School Bible Quiz (SSBQ) for January.She is the fourth person from that school to win in the quiz’s five-year history.{{more}} Elsie Myers received her prize, valued over $300, yesterday morning, from Elise Quashie, in the presence of the Principal, John Renton, staff and the students at her school.

In his brief address to the assembly, Joel Jack of SSBQ reminded the students of instances where both David the Psalmist and Jesus Christ spoke of the importance of the word of God. He also reminded them of the annual awards which are on offer, apart from the monthly prize. Among the awards is the new Acute Cosmetics Beginners Award, which is exclusively for students in Form 1. The winner is promised a trophy and $500.
