DaSilva’s home got the nod, ahead of Jimmy Samuel, whose Rilland Hill home was judged second best.

The results were announced on the final morning of Nine Mornings activities in Kingstown on Christmas Eve, December 24 at Heritage Square.

Town Hill, newcomers in the St Vincent Electricity (VINLEC) sponsored community lighting competition, took the top spot in the national awards, beating the North Windward community of Point into second, and the North Leeward village of Rose Bank into third place.

The Kingstown community had topped zone two in the zonal categories, with Point village coming out front in zone four, Rose Bank in zone one, former national winners New Grounds in zone three and Bequia in the Grenadines.

For “best lit garden”, Ces for Wes took first place, followed by Richmond Hill, with Sunset Shores third. Stubbs won first place for “best Nine Mornings Community”, and Carriere took top honours for “best Christmas Community”.
