Argyle airport gets financial boost

With an initial donation of US$1,000, Chief Executive Officer of the Canouan Dive Centre Alan Silverstein gave a commitment to make future contributions towards the construction of the Argyle International Airport until its completion.{{more}}

Silverstein made the gesture on November 17, at a benefit gospel concert, coordinated by Edson Augustus, deputy consul general at the Consulate of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The concert, which featured some of this country’s and the diaspora’s top gospel entertainers, raised funds for the airport, slated to be operational in 2014.

Augustus indicated that another concert will soon take place, this time a Christmas carol event, at the St Gabriel Episcopalian Church in Brooklyn, on December 22.
