Man dies after being struck by motor vehicle

Police are investigating the circumstances that led to this country recording its sixth road fatality for the year.{{more}}

Dead is Kristoff Gibson, who an official of the Traffic Department of the police force said was 33 years old.

Gibson, of Arnos Vale, died at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital Saturday morning, after being run over by motor vehicle HA 304, driven by Ricardo Gill, also of Arnos Vale.

About 5 a.m. Saturday, Gill was driving on the Arnos Vale main road near Skyline/Multigraphic Services and Gibson was reportedly lying in the road, police say.

SEARCHLIGHT understands that Gibson may have been intoxicated, but this has not been confirmed.

SEARCHLIGHT also learnt that Gibson may have been on the side of the road, but rolled into oncoming traffic, resulting in him being run over. (JJ)
