The promotion, dubbed “Share a Smile this Christmas”, was launched on November 16, at Heritage Square, before a large gathering who took advantage of the many give-aways.

“Share a Smile this Christmas” offers one customer a chance of winning $100,000, half of which must be given to family members or friends.

A number of weekly prizes are also up for grabs.

To qualify for the weekly prizes and the grand prize of $100,000 cash, customers must top up $15 or more; pay their postpaid bills in full and on time; or join the Digicel family.

Digicel’s marketing manager Juno DeRoche said that winning the grand prize is enough to make anybody smile.

Customers can qualify for additional chances at the weekly prize by texting the word “SMILE” to the number 2434, DeRoche added.

“We continue to do things that make our customers very happy and improve their way of life,” said DeRoche, who added that “Share a Smile this Christmas” builds on the recently launched ‘SMILE’ top up promotion.

Digicel’s country manager Richard Stanton said that the latest promotion is just another innovative way that Digicel engages with its customers to thank and reward them for being a part of the “Bigger, Better Network”.

“Imagine being able to buy the gift you really want for a loved one. Imagine seeing the joy on their faces as they receive that gift; imagine the smiles that you will bring to that face all through Digicel’s Share a smile Christmas campaign”, said Stanton.

The large crowd, comprising mostly of persons who were relaxing after work, were entertained by prominent DJ, 2 Kool Chris and Soca Monarch 2012 Gamal “Skinny” Fabulous Doyle.

The launch also saw persons vying for prizes in the “best smile competition” and the “best joke” competition.

Persons benefited from huge numbers of Digicel giveaways that included bath towels, hats, water bottles, bags, umbrellas and free credit.
