Karib Cable helps with renovation of St Martin’s Secondary School

St Vincent and the Grenadines Internet, cable television and fixed line telephone service provider Karib Cable have come in for high praise from the principal, staff and students of the St Martin’s Secondary School for their role in helping to enhance the look of the school building.{{more}}

Last Friday, Karib Cable made a monetary contribution and donation of paint and equipment towards the repainting of the school and the repair of the windows.

“We are happy and blessed to have a significant contribution by Karib Cable. Karib Cable continues to demonstrate its willingness to support and advance the cause of education through corporate giving,” said Nereus Auguste, the principal.

Auguste also said that this initiative will not only benefit the students, but the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines on the whole.

The teachers also offered their personal thanks to the general manager and team, for not only giving to the St Martin’s Secondary School in tangible means, but for volunteering their time and service and getting intimately involved in the painting. “Not many managers will do that,” one person said.

According to Ed Riley, general manager, by partnering with the St Martin’s Secondary School, Karib Cable demonstrates its continued commitment to the development, of not just the St Martin’s Secondary School, but the entire educational community. “We know that the success of any country starts with the success of the young people. Hundreds of students pass through the doors of the St Martin’s Secondary School, and creating a more conducive environment for learning will not only impact the lives of the students, but their families, as well.

“This donation is an invaluable one. It is not simply enhancing the walls of the school, but creation of an environment that is more conducive for learning that will hopefully help the students to improve academically,” he said.
