French scholarships available to Vincentians 2013-2014
Vincentian nationals are invited to apply for scholarships being offered by the French Government for the academic year 2013 to 2014.{{more}}
The scholarships are offered for study at the bachelorâs or masterâs level.
The release said the cost of studies in France is among the lowest in the world, as universities are financed by the State. Tuition fees on average are 300 Euros, the same for nationals and foreigners.
Not only will the student obtain a certificate internationally recognized in the domain of his/her choice, but also, he/she will be able to become fluent in French, which is a great asset, the release said.
The proposed training can take place in France or a French department of Americas (Martinique, Guadeloupe and French Guiana), but enrollment at the UAG (University of the Antilles and French Guiana) will be treated as a priority.
Candidates must be between 18 and 21 years old to apply for a bachelorâs degree and between 23 and 25 years old for a masterâs degree. They must have a DELF certification of a B2 level minimum.
The DELF and DALF are internationally recognized certifications from the French Ministry of Education. Interested persons may sit the exam twice a year at the Alliance Française. The next session will be between December 4 and 6, 2012. The Alliance Française SVG will be having an open day on December 12, 2012, during which information about the DELF/DALF exams and the scholarship programme of the French Embassy will be available.
The deadline for submission is December 31 2012; any application received after the deadline will not be considered and incomplete applications will be rejected.
