Teenage girl home again after being reported missing

The 14-year-old girl whose mother said she was missing since October 7 was found on Friday, the day SEARCHLIGHT published a story about her disappearance.{{more}}

Haadiyah Grant’s mother, Jemma Haywood-Grant, told SEARCHLIGHT yesterday her daughter was home again, but did not give details about where she was found.

She further said her daughter did not indicate why she left home or where she was.

Haywood-Grant said that while her daughter refuses to talk about the incident, she is intent on finding out what happened.

“I’m working on it,” she said.

The mother told SEARCHLIGHT last week that her daughter was not at home when she returned on October 7.

Haadiyah was at home with an older sister on October 7, the mother said.

The fourth form St Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua student had also left home for two days in February, without informing her family.

Her mom said yesterday that Haadiyah was yet to return to school. (BK)
