PR Campbell hospitalized

Popular Queen’s Counsel Parnell Campbell is said to be resting comfortably after being hospitalized over the weekend.{{more}}

His daughter Mandela Campbell, in a statement released to the press, said that her father had been admitted to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital between Saturday night and Sunday morning, with chest complaints.

Miss Campbell said doctors have advised Mr Campbell to rest completely during his hospitalization.

“Well-wishers are encouraged to lift my father up in their prayers, but to refrain from visiting him at the hospital,” Miss Campbell said.

She also indicated that her father has expressed gratitude to persons who have expressed support and wished him a speedy recovery.

Mr Campbell, who served as attorney general for eight and a half years under the James Mitchell-led New Democratic Party (NDP) administration, is also the host of the popular television programme, “The Law and You” which is broadcast on Mondays on SVGTV, and has been running for over 13 years.
