Palmyra Restaurant and Bar promises to keep it fresh, exciting

Vincentians looking for a place to have a few drinks and perhaps a night of fine dining, now have to look no further than the Palmyra Restaurant and Bar at Pembroke.{{more}}

Located just a few yards away from the Pembroke Service station, the restaurant, located in a newly constructed building, officially opened its doors last weekend.

With spacious outdoor seating, and a beautiful interior, patrons were observed ordering some of the delightful dishes and drinks from the menus.

Spokesperson for the business Albion Stapleton said it was “exciting” to give the Vincentian public a new atmosphere in which to enjoy themselves.

“It’s just an exciting time for us. This has been in the making for the past two years and we have been just taking our time, capturing the hearts of the local community and hope it will be a good spot for them …,” Stapleton said.

Stapleton said the facility, which can accommodate 150 persons, is set up for family reunions, wedding receptions or just a casual drink with friends.

“We just want to introduce a different flair than what people are accustomed to … We want to keep it fresh and exciting at all times,” he added.

The business has a staff of 11 persons.

Waitress Shandy Williams said, “Today has been really busy and I am really looking forward to the challenge.”

Another waitress, Alana Hoyte, said she was delighted with the official opening of the restaurant and like her co-worker, she too is ready to embrace the challenge ahead.

One satisfied customer said the venue was ideal for a family gathering.

“This is very good. It is different than what I am accustomed to, she said.

The restaurant will open from noon to 10 p.m. on Mondays to Thursdays; noon to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
