Girl Guides off to UK

Twenty-one Girl Guides from three guide companies, accompanied by four Guiders, left St Vincent on Sunday for the United Kingdom, to attend Flame 2012, an international camp for girl guides.{{more}}

Flame 2012 will be centred around the Olympics and the Olympic & Paralympic values which are respect, excellence, friendship, courage, determination, inspiration and equality. It has been timed to coincide with the start of the games.

Flame 2012 is the Hampshire West District’s fifth international camp for guides and senior section girls aged 10-26 and will take place on the 65-acre grounds of Princess Mary House at Foxlease, Lyndhurst, Hampshire.

The camp will include a full programme of activities including sports, performing arts, crafts, adventurous activities and an off site trip during the week. Some activities will be provided by professional companies and others by specialist volunteers.
