Dash-8 aircraft, two office buildings destroyed at LIAT hangar in Antigua

Corporate Communications Manager Desmond Brown said reports are still coming in; however, the data compiled so far shows significant losses.
âThe losses are related to one of the Companyâs Dash 8â300 aircraft (V2 LGH), a hangar and two office buildings, which were all destroyed during the fire,â Brown said.
A release from the company said âThe management and staff of LIAT wish to thank the scores of customers, well-wishers and the public in general who have called or sent messages of support to the airline as it deals with this major disaster.â
LIAT maintained normal operations throughout its network yesterday, and said it will issue a further advisory at 9:00 a.m. today, June 12.
