Caesar aims for a ‘fish fry nights’ industry in SVG
Minister of Agriculture Saboto Caesar is hoping to develop an industry here, similar to the fish fry nights at Oistins in Barbados.{{more}}
Speaking at the Fishermanâs Day celebrations on Monday, Caesar stated that on a recent trip back from the Cayman Islands, he spent the night in Barbados and attended the Oistins Fish Fry.
âAnd if Barbados can do it, St Vincent can do it better!â he said.
âI want to see how we can commercialize by creating a local market where we can fry our fish and the young people of this nation can come and get clean entertainment on a regular basis,â Caesar said, adding that he was assigning the task of getting it done to Chief Fisheries Officer Raymond Ryan.
Caesar further mentioned that with the opening of the Argyle International Airport, there must be places where tourists can come to socialize and to mingle with Vincentians and to enjoy Vincentian culture.(OS)
