Digicel launches ‘Crack the Code promotion

Telecommunications provider Digicel is once again offering its customers the opportunity to win cash prizes with their latest promotion.{{more}}

Launched last Friday, May 25, the ‘Crack the Code’ promotion offers Digicel customers the chance to win cash and other great prizes just by topping up their prepaid phone EC$10 (or more) or paying their post paid bill on time.

However, at the end of the promotion, scheduled for August 4, one lucky person will win the EC$30,000 grand prize.

In their usual extravagant format, the Digicel St Vincent team held a motorcade through Kingstown and Campden Park, which was followed by a press session at their flagship store The Cell.

During the promotion, two winners will be announced every week. One weekly winner will get EC$2,000 cash while the second winner will get an electronic gadget in the form of either a BlackBerry smartphone, a Samsung handset or a Samsung tablet. Persons can also win themselves data for one year and $200 free credit.

Digicel’s Marketing Manager Juno DeRoche explained that persons topping up their phones with EC$10 or more, or who pay their post paid bill on time are entered in a random draw.

“Ten of these random persons will receive a phone call and will be asked to guess any four digit combination between 1 and 9999. Digicel has its own four digit number and the person coming closest to Digicel’s four digit code without going over will win the week’s prize,” DeRoche added.

According to DeRoche, “Even if you win the weekly EC$2000 or one of the weekly gadgets, you are still eligible for the grand prize draw.”

Following the launch, media persons were allowed the first opportunity to Crack the Code. Jevorn Williams, receptionist at SVG Broadcasting, entered the closest digits, winning herself a Samsung Tablet.

Crack the Code is the third major promotion to be launched by Digicel this year. The other two ongoing promotions are Free After 3 and Cash Back.(AA)
