But being a Courts Supermom can be somewhat of a challenge.{{more}}

That’s what ten mothers found out last Saturday, when they competed in the first ever supermom challenge, which took place on the Courts Kingstown showroom floor.

At the end of it all, Onicha Baptiste came out on top, getting the judges’ nod after successfully finishing the eight tasks set in front of her to be completed in 20 minutes.

The tasks included the making of baby formula, making a bed while holding a baby, changing the baby’s clothes, removing clothes from a washer and hanging them on a clothes line, ironing and folding clothes, cleaning and packing a refrigerator, sweeping the floor, and preparing a meal for her husband, all while using appliances which are available at Courts.

The clothing and food used in the competition are available at Brydens and Kidztown, respectively.

An elated Baptiste, who shed tears of joy after she was announced the winner, said that she was excited to be given the title of Courts Supermom.

“I came to the event with the intention to win this. It was indeed a challenge, but I normally hustle to get my chores done on time.”

The mother of a five-year-old daughter said that she learned how to do her tasks from her mother and intends to pass them on to her child.

She pointed out that the easiest task in the challenge was the hanging out of the clothes, while she had more difficulty making the bed while holding the baby.

Employed at the Met Office in Arnos Vale, Baptiste said that she was also happy for the $2,000 grand prize, which she said she already has plans for.

The other mothers who participated in the challenge received consolation prizes, which included beauty products from selected stores.
