VINSAVE Supervisor attends International Study Tour 2012 in Tobago

The programme which was organized by the Family Development and Childhood Research Centre at UWI, St Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago, had as its theme âEarly Childhood, Learning through Natureâ.
Participants from Guyana, Suriname, Mexico, St Vincent and the Grenadines and host country Trinidad and Tobago explored the importance of outdoor space and how to use Nature to support curricula goals and to identify their role in outdoor learning materials. They also held several group discussions on how to introduce the pre-schools to love Nature and to take care of their Environment.
According to Merleana Williams, the Study Tour was an educational experience and she has developed a new interest in the environment. With this knowledge, she will encourage pre-schools to love, appreciate and take care of the environment.
