Graduates Calypso Tent to hold meeting this Saturday

The Graduates Calypso Tent will hold a very important meeting at the Victoria Park on Saturday, March 3, 2012, scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm.{{more}} The Tent will hear updates from the management team including Glenroy ‘Sulle’ Caesar and Aubrey Burgin. There will also be discussions on the 2012 Calypso season and a decision will be made on a date for auditions for calypsonians in the Tent and also any person who is desirous of participating in the Graduates Tent.

The meeting will also discuss sponsorship and will hear an update on longstanding member of the tent Alexis “Lexi” Joseph who is presently in the United States undergoing medical treatment.

The Graduates Tent was formed in 1983, coming out of the Calypso Classroom, its forerunner, and has maintained a high level of Calypso performances over its almost thirty years of existence.

Reigning Calypso Monarch Maxwell ‘Tajoe’ Francis is a member of the Graduates Tent, which has the most monarchs in the Calypso competition in SVG.

All members are asked to attend and to be on time.
