Solange is SSBQ August winner

The most recent winner of the Secondary School Bible Quiz (SSBQ) Solange Fernandez of the Girls’ High School (GHS) received her prize at the General Assembly of that school on Monday, September 19. Solange won the quiz for August.{{more}}

In presenting the award, Joel Jack, coordinator of the programme, congratulated the school on some of their recent achievements. This is the eighth time a student of the GHS is winning the monthly prize, which began in November 2007. Tannesha Hamlet, also of the GHS, winner for June, was unavailable to receive her prize. Students from fourteen other secondary schools have so far won.

Jack expressed appreciation to Acute Cosmetics and the SEARCHLIGHT for partnering in this worthy venture.

He is appealing to all students throughout the nation that in addition to getting a good education, they ought to take time and get to know the Bible (God’s Word) better and obey it. The benefits in so doing are numerous.

The SSBQ is posted in the SEARCHLIGHT on the first Friday of every month and can be also viewed on the blog: scripturalsearch.wordpress.com. The draw usually takes place on the Scriptural Search radio programme on WEFM, Tuesday evening at 6:00.
