PM to leave for Cuba tomorrow
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves will leave St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Saturday for Cuba, at the head of a seven member delegation.{{more}}
Included in the delegation are two government ministers in the Minister responsible for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Douglas Slater, and the Minister of Health, Cecil McKie.
The others include businessman Gideon Browne, prominent farmer Lennox âHucksâ Da Breo, teacher and calypsonian Gerard âRasumâ Shallow, and Sergeant Adrian Francois from the Prime Ministerâs security detail.
The delegation will meet and hold talks with a number of Cuban officials, on matters related to Health, Airport development, Education, Agriculture, Culture, Sports and Business Development.
Prime Minister Gonsalves is expected to hold extensive talks with the Cuban Leader, Raul Castro, on matters of mutual interest.
The delegation will return to the state on September 17, 2011.
