Hitz – Total Inspiration ‘I’m so Bored’ winners collect prizes

Winners from the ‘I’m So Bored’ promotion that was run on Hitz FM 103.7 and Total Inspiration 100.5 received their prizes at a short handing over event on Tuesday, August 30.{{more}}

SVGBC Marketing Manager Candice Sealy was on hand to oversee the event, as well as present winners with their prizes.

Sealy explained that the promotion ran from August 8 to 25, and required callers to phone into the radio stations to answer a general knowledge question. Those who answered correctly, as well as quoting “I’m so bored!” when their call was taken on air, won various prizes – including money, gift vouchers and tickets to the upcoming Romain Virgo concert.

“The promotion was designed to get the youngsters involved, and not be bored even though it’s summer,” she said.

“And also, to test their general knowledge!”

The winners included: Chante Toby, who won $80 courtesy Western Union; Derricia May – $20 Corea’s voucher and gift bag from Nightingale Book Store; Tashika Douglas – $40 Corea’s voucher; Weena Roberts – $40 Corea’s voucher; Roderick Pompey – tickets to the Romain Virgo concert; Luenda Baptiste – $80 from Western Union; Larry Samuel – gift bag and $50 from Western Union; Racquel Scarborough – $40 Corea’s voucher and a gospel CD album.

Jean Johnney-Findlay was also there representing Corea’s City Store.

Sealy expressed her gratitude to all the business places who contributed. She said that the SVGBC is “pleased to have had so many business houses on board”.

There was also a second part to this competition, which ended on Wednesday, August 31.

Members of the public were encouraged to upload their favourite summer photographs to the SVGBC facebook page, and the photograph with the most ‘likes’ won $500.

The photograph with the second-most ‘likes’ won $200.
