On Wednesday, July 20, 2011, Telecommunications Giant LIME entered into a partnership with the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Postal Corporation.{{more}} As part of this arrangement, SVG Postal Corporation will supply mobile e-top up credit to LIME customers across St.Vincent and the Grenadines at twenty two of its district post offices.

Rhesha Jack Shallow, District Operations Officer, who represented the SVG Postal Corporation, took part in a handover ceremony and the signing of the agreement at LIME’s main office on July 20.

Jozel Miguel, LIME representative, officially handed over 22 free handsets to Shallow, which will be used to facilitate the sale of mobile credit to customers at the twenty-two post offices island wide.

The overwhelmed District Operations Officer said “I am very appreciative of such a union and this agreement would help our business expand into other areas.”

Jacqueline Adams Ollivierre, Assistant Director/Operations and Marketing, whose brain child this project is, was unavoidably absent at this event.

Ollivierre, in a conversation when contacted, expressed her gratitude, stating “due to an increase in technology, there has been a decrease in the core area of business. However, I have seen an increase in persons requiring telecommunication type services.”

LIME representatives, Leslie Jack, HOD Retail, Recardo Jackson, Supervisor of E-Top up and Partner Sales, Nikala Williams, Manager of Residential Sales, and Kathy-Ann Tommy Samuel, who is an Accountant at the SVG Postal Corporation, also witnessed this event.

Since the introduction of e-top up service to the LIME’s portfolio, the number of vendors supplying this service has increased significantly.
