Courts launches Facebook funny ad promotion

Visitors to the Facebook page of Furniture and Appliance giants Courts have an opportunity to win an Apple iPod, while displaying their creative talents.{{more}}

The latest innovation on the company’s social network encourages Courts Facebook fans to create a 30 second commercial, promoting one of the many top brand digital products available at the Kingstown store.

Courts Marketing Manager Alexis John said that in this new promotion, which is part of the ‘All you want for your digital life’ campaign, “We want persons to be creative. We want to reward our fans for their creativity because we know they are digitally inclined. This is a great opportunity for aspiring producers and actors to make a mark in the advertising world.”

“At the same time we want their ads to be funny.”

To have an opportunity to win the 32 gigabyte Apple iPod Touch, valued at EC$1,599, all the Courts Facebook fan has to do is create an ad which promotes a digital product which is available at Courts.

On the Courts Facebook page, they would click the ‘funny ad’ tab, then post their ad.

The ad with the most ‘likes’ at the end of the promotion in the next four weeks would make the creator of that ad the winner of the iPod Touch.

John indicated that non Courts Facebook fans can also enter the promotion by just becoming fans of page by ‘liking’ the page.

“This promotion allows our fans to accomplish a career goal,” John added.

“It’s a fun competition, which would highlight our wide array of digital products in the store as well as add value to someone’s digital life by earning them a top of the line Apple iPod Touch.”
