Gloucester making strides on the music scene

Local song writer Kandi Gloucester continues to make her mark on the international music scene.{{more}}

This with the news that a song Gloucester co-wrote here during a song writer’s camp back in March will be featured on Canadian music star Keshia Chante’s upcoming album ‘Night and Day’.

The song ‘Shooting Star’ was one of songs written here, and according to Shanna Browne, Export Development Officer at Invest SVG, a lot of the other songs are currently being picked up.

Gloucester and renowned Vincentian music producer and song writer Mark Cyrus were recently offered song writing contracts.

The two are currently overseas working with international song writers and producers in Toronto and Los Angeles.

“We are definitely making strides,” Browne said.

“We are opening an avenue for music tourism – St Vincent and the Grenadines is making its mark as a place to come and give birth to great music,” she continued. (DD)
