At a press conference last Wednesday, Courts Marketing Manager Alexis John announced that over the next four weeks, customers will have the opportunity to spin the Courts Carnival wheel of Prizes and win, among other things, Carnival costumes, their purchases free, as well as tickets to Carnival shows.

John also indicated that the company has donated more than $10,000 to Ahdrenaline, SVG Players International and High Voltage Mas Bands for their 2011 presentations.

“We are extremely happy to reach out to these bands. We all know that these are difficult times, but we still want persons to come out and have fun.”

Representatives from each band expressed their gratitude for the contribution from Courts, and noted that they looked forward to the continued partnership between their organizations and Courts.

Also receiving an award of a 24 inch RCA LCD television was Miss SVG 2011 Aviar Charles.

John indicated that the presentation of a TV to the winner of the pageant was an annual gesture which Courts was proud to make.

Charles, on accepting her gift, thanked Courts for the television set, which she said would come in handy.

She also encouraged customers to take advantage of the Courts Carnival promotion.

Courts was also the provider of a Nintendo Wii game console, which was the first prize in a raffle hosted by Ahdrenaline mas band.

This item was won by Michael Richards of Calliaqua.

The second prize of a Blackberry Smartphone was won by Miranda Hutchinson of Union Island, while the third prize of $500 worth of prizes from The Trend was won by Dillon Carr of Dorsetshire Hill, and fourth prize of a Carnival costume was won by B Lynch of Belmont.(JJ)
