Jujube launches a quicker, better, easier way to study mathematics

There is now a quicker, better and easier way to study mathematics for Caribbean schools. Jujube Bookstore has launched ConquerMaths, which is a series of online interactive tutorials for ages 11 to 16 years and adults studying mathematics.{{more}} The launch coincided with this year’s celebration of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, which is observed annually on May 17.

The bookstore participated in the Telecommunication Fiesta, held at Fancy and the Exhibition at the Postal Corporation Building in Kingstown, organised by the Ministry of Telecommunications. At Fancy, a range of books and teaching aids was put on display, while in Kingstown, persons were able to view a presentation on the ConquerMaths tutorials.

Michele Samuel, Managing Director of Jujube, indicated that the availability of ConquerMaths in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is very timely, since it has come on the heels of the Government initiative of one laptop per child. She highlighted that the lessons are highly acclaimed in the United Kingdom, Australia, the USA and Canada. Now, students in the Caribbean also have the opportunity to take advantage of these very affordable concise online mathematics lessons anytime, anywhere. Samuel noted that she is very excited about promoting this programme, knowing the challenges that students face in overcoming their fear of Mathematics, having herself been a teacher of the subject at secondary and tertiary level.

Interested persons can view demonstration lessons on the website www.multimediamath.com, which is the dedicated website for the Caribbean, or may call at the store for further information. The bookstore has also embarked on door-to-door selling of the product.
