Volunteer to introduce Taiwan Healthcare System to SVG

A Taiwanese volunteer serving in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, together with local medical doctors and experts, will next week introduce the Taiwan Healthcare System to medical personnel here.{{more}}

In the presentation, Bor-lin Miao, a retired section chief of Taiwan CDC and a volunteer at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, will introduce the Taiwanese Healthcare system and its management in Taiwan. Hospital Administrator Cuthbert Knigths and Medical Director Dr. Simone Keizer-Beache will also share their experiences and observations brought back from Taiwan.

The presentation will be made on Friday, March 18, 2011, at 1:00 p.m, at the lecture room of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH).

This event is part of a series of activities initiated by the Embassy of Taiwan to celebrate the centennial of its country and to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with St Vincent and the Grenadines. Richard Chen, the First Secretary of the Embassy will also take the opportunity to introduce Taiwan Scholarship programme.
