Three share top prize in LIME’s Christmas ‘Pon De Remix’ promotion

Last year Garfield Toussaint was the lucky winner of EC$50,000 in the LIME Christmas “Goodie Bag” promotions. This year three lucky Vincentians shared the top prizes in the Christmas “Pon De Remix” promotions.{{more}}

The first prize went to Mustique resident Kirk Hamlet who will “Live Free for a year”. This prize entails a payment of US$12,000 towards rent or mortgage, US$1,000 in groceries and one year of LIME telecommunications services.

Second prize winner Benjamin Richards of Petit Bordel copped the prize for a family vacation for four.

Eli Map of Mespo won the third prize which is a fabulous Samsung entertainment centre which includes a 50-inch television set, surround sound system, DVD player and 3D glasses.

Last Friday the LIME promenade came alive from 4:30pm for two hours as the band IMPAC entertained onlookers and passersby as they awaited the final draw which was carried live on three radio stations, Hitz FM, Star FM and Nice Radio.

At the prize giving ceremony, General Manager (Ag) Sandra Matthews handed over the prizes to the gleeful winners and expressed appreciation to all the customers who took part in this year’s promotion.

“The success of this year’s Christmas promotions was due to the participation of all our existing and new customers. This year we made sure we kept the feeling of Christmas in our promotions even though there were other distractions. Customers came to our Christmas Village every Sunday for entertainment. These prizes truly reflect the spirit of family and togetherness”, commented Matthews.

Kirk Hamlet, employed as a building contractor with the Mustique, explained that he is the owner of his house and will use the prize for new investments. “I have been a LIME customer for years and this year I bought a $40 handset and never expected this phone to bring me so much luck. I am very thankful to LIME for this fantastic prize” said the first prize winner.

Carpenter and furniture builder from Petit Bordel Benjamin Richards has just started his family. So the second prize of a family vacation may have to be put off until the baby is born.

“My wife and I are looking forward to the birth of our first born and we will celebrate later this year when the baby can travel. We never thought that we could have won this prize and this is the first thing I ever won anything. Thanks to LIME and I will never leave LIME because of their excellent service”, said Benjamin.

Eli Map was in Kingstown when his wife called him and said he must report to LIME immediately.

“When I was contacted by a beautiful lady called Andrea(Liverpool) as she broke the news, I was taken aback and surprised but very excited when I heard that the prize is an entertainment center. I never anticipated that I would be the owner of entertainment centre valued at US$3,000”, said the Mespo resident.

Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications Fitzgerald Huggins said that this year’s Christmas promotions was very rewarding for all our customers. “The “Pon De Remix” promotions had a youthful feel to it as the major dancehall artistes from Jamaica such as Beenie Man, Elephant Man, Cecile etc supplemented the promotions with great music and fashion. Hey!! Don’t forget we also gave away twelve gigantic weekly prizes as well. It’s show time people!! LIME is leading the way, so join us as we continue to excite our customers with great promotions during 2011. Don’t say I didn’t tell you to come aboard,” said Huggins.
