Kaywanna certainly not a weakling

Kaywana Jacobs proved that she was not a weakling as she survived five rounds of competition and sudden death to become the winner of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Broadcasting Corporation (SVGBC) Christmas promotion.{{more}}

The finals of the competition “Are you a Weakling?” took place on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce conference room.

Jacobs, along with two other finalists, Trisha Samuel and Dave Lewis, went head to head in a simple trivia quiz to compete for the grand prize.

Jacobs, a resident of Chapmans village, took home a handful of prizes, including hampers from Eve and Sprott Distributors, a gift basket from Coreas, a Blackberry Torch from Digicel, a mountain bike from Sailor’s Cycle centre, a $500 shopping spree from Levi and Trend fashion store, a 19’’ TV from Courts, and a $500 cash prize from Western Union. The other two finalists received consolation prizes.

Jacobs told Searchlight that she felt ‘great’ about winning the competition, adding that she had no difficulty sharing her prizes. “I’ll use some for myself, and what I can, I’ll give to my family,” she said, smiling.

The promotion, which ran throughout the month of December, saw callers to Ezee Radio and Hitz 103.7 go head to head to answer questions, with the winner receiving prizes.
