LIME’s Christmas Village entertains children

Christmas Shoppers received extra entertainment when they entered the capital Kingstown recently and were captivated by the opening of LIME’s Christmas Village.{{more}}

On Sunday, November 21, “Karaoke in the Village” was staged at LIME’s head office, Kingstown, where the village is set up.

Hundreds of shoppers took part in the karaoke competition hosted by Swazo and the Crew and were able to win fantastic prizes. Children were treated with ice cream on this occasion.

LIME’s Chief Executive Angus Steele, one of the finalists in the Karaoke competition, commented that his organization is a true community company.

“Look at the amount of families here having fun, it’s really amazing. We have a compelling offer for Christmas and customers are coming out and not only taking up our services, but enjoying the entertainment. This is the ideal way to relax after a stressful day and we welcome all to come and enjoy what we offer on Sundays at the Village,” said Steele.

Steele continued: “LIME is not a promotions company, but a true community partner. We will be taking this entertainment to other communities during the season so look out for LIME in the Community.”

LIME’s Christmas Village was officially launched under the theme “Sundays, Pon De Remix,” on Sunday, November 14, with the melodious voice of Kyoka Cruickshank and her backing band.

Hundreds of customers, children and shoppers flocked into the Christmas village and were entertained for three hours with Christmas music. The highlight of the evening was the random act of kindness in which hundreds of children were treated to cotton candy.

LIME “Pon De Remix” Christmas has attracted the top dancehall artistes from around the Caribbean like Beenie Man, Elephant Man, Ce’cile, Edwin Yearwood, Bounty Killa and Iyaz.

Three grand prizes and 12 weekly prizes are at stake for customers who Top up $20 or more, Text “Merry” to 5463 for a charge of $1 per text and for customers who purchase a handset for Christmas. The LIME Christmas Village will feature entertainment every Sunday during the Christmas season.
