Sol sponsors Young Leaders

The management of SOL has expressed its willingness towards sponsoring the St. Vincent Grammar School Young Leaders programme for a second year.{{more}}

At a general assembly held recently at the school, John Jacobs, SOL’s Sales Supervisor, gave his company’s commitment to sponsor this year’s programme.

He encouraged the students to always strive for excellence in whatever they do. He also encouraged the students to get involved in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities while they strive for academic excellence.

The Sales and Marketing Supervisor informed the students that this year the company would be adding something new to the award.

The recipients of the awards for each year are announced at the end of the school year during the school’s graduation and prize giving ceremony.

At the school graduation exercise on June 30, 2010, awards were given to Richard John, Form 1; Ricklon Young,

Form 2; Anson Latchman, Form 3; Taj Lee, Form 4 and Ijahlon Butler, Form 5.

The recipients of the award must demonstrate the following: academic excellence, leadership, good conduct, and involvement in co-curricula and extra-curricular activities.

In January 2010, the St. Vincent Grammar School Young Leaders introduced at their school, the most outstanding student award programme.

This was part of their project for the RBTT Young Leaders Programme for 2010 which had as its theme, Holistic Wellness: “The Journey towards a Fulfilling Life”.

The young leaders approached SOL EC Ltd (SOL) who immediately got on board and sponsored the programme.
