The announcement of this one week event was made at a press conference held on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at the Triumphant Covenant Church in Kingstown by Reverend Junior George and Pastor Samuel Young.
George announced that the convocation will begin with an official opening service at the Faith Temple Church in New Montrose at 6p.m.
This will be followed by a week of workshops and services at a number of churches around the country, including the Upper Room Ministries and Hope For Life Ministries, as well as a march and rally at Heritage Square on Wednesday, July 21.
According to Young, the workshops would focus on a number of areas that are critical for a healthy Christian lifestyle: such as the family, pastoral mentorship, youth ministries, financial management, occupational skills, entrepreneurship, music and others.
The ministers indicated that the week of activities seeks to bring churches from around the region closer for the purpose of networking, and the sharing of spiritual and natural resources in the process.
The ministers indicated that a number of the events will be carried live on radio and would be streamed live on the internet.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines last hosted the CCM in 2001. It was hosted in St. Lucia last year.
A special meeting will be held to determine the next venue.
