London: SLR weekly promotion winner

Domani London, of Diamond, is the first lucky winner of a Lenovo Notebook computer from Lime in the St. Vincent Distillers Ltd SLR Weekly promotion. London was presented with his Notebook on Thursday, May 27, at Gonsalves Liquors, where he purchased SLR.{{more}}

London commented that when he entered the competition he did not expect to win, and he is grateful to St. Vincent Distillers Ltd for the opportunity of now owning a Notebook computer.

Phillippa Greaves, Export/Promotions representative of St. Vincent Distillers Ltd, said that SLR is an award winning Rum made by Vincentians for Vincentians. She also went on to say that SLR is not to be mistaken or put in the same category as Sunset Strong Rum. It is totally different and produced differently. The latest award being in 2009 when SLR won gold recognition in Tampa, Florida.

Greaves also added that Vincentians can be influential in keeping revenue in this country and creating employment by supporting and being loyal to locally made products. She mentioned that the rums made at St. Vincent Distillers Ltd are quality rums of which all Vincentians can be proud.

Purchasers of SLR can have a chance to win a Lenovo Notebook by writing their details on the back of the sales receipt and dropping it into the box provided at the place of purchase. See advertisement on page 28 for further details. The competition runs for 7 weeks until Carnival and is drawn weekly. A total of 7 notebooks will be won.

St. Vincent Distillers Ltd is the sole Rum Distillery on the island and it produces 5 Rums.
