Fisheries holds Fish-Nite tonight at Calliaqua

THE Fisheries Division in The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is expected to have a Fish Nite at Calliaqua tonight, the third scheduled event in the Ministry’s fisherman’s month activities.{{more}}

The month of activities was launched on Friday, April 23, 2010, at the Fisheries Conference Room.

Held under the theme “Feeding one billion hungry”, the month runs from April 23 to May 24, 2010. Activities include a Fisheries Exhibition, Japan Day, Junior and Female fishing competitions, and essay and poster competitions in primary and secondary schools.

The month’s activities end with Fisherman’s Day on May 24. The slogan, which was adapted from the theme is “Fishing for the future eliminates hunger”.(OS)
