(SISVG) Soroptimist International holds tea party to aid water project

SOROPTIMIST International of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SISVG) recently held a tea party to bring public awareness to the problem that some countries face in ensuring that clean water is available to all.{{more}}

The event was held at Flow on Monday, March, 22 World Water Day in response to Federation President Jackie Mosedale’s Appeal 2009/2010 for clubs/countries to host a fundraising event in support of Water Aid.

The event was well supported by the thirty-six persons, (members and guests) who attended. The money will go to support a Water Aid project in Bangladesh. The guests who attended were very impressed with the event and complimented SISVG on a wonderful afternoon of enjoyment and friendship.

SISVG will hold its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, April 17 when there will be the installation of new officers of the club. Guest speaker at this meeting will be Minister of Culture Rene Baptiste who is also a Soroptimist.
