Hitz FM’s giving back to listeners

In what can be considered to be the first of many to come, one radio station is giving appreciation to its listeners.

The Hitz 103.7 Wake Up & Go Morning Show is having a ‘Listener Appreciation Month’ for the entire month of April.{{more}} During this month, listeners will decide what they would like to discuss each morning and the station will make it happen. So far the response has been phenomenal, with over 25 topics suggested by listeners.

Head of Sales & Marketing, Candice Sealey, says the Morning Show has grown significantly in listenership and the feedback has been excellent. She further added that the programme prides itself on bringing real issues, good music as well as humour to the people each day, and by interacting with them in this way, listeners can feel that they, too, have a voice or played a part in this thriving Morning programme. Sealey explained that it was also decided to have person (s) co-host the programme with Fugitive so that they can feel a connection with the Wake Up & Go Morning Show.

Morning Show Host, Fugitive or Dr. Fugi as he is commonly referred to, says that this is an excellent way of encouraging loyal listeners and making listeners feel that they are part of the system.

Listeners will also be able to win various prizes in the form of prizes from Comsport, tickets to Miss SVG Teen, tickets to Carnival shows, including Soca Monarch, Ragga Soca monarch, Miss SVG, Miss Carival, Junior Panorama and Dimarche Gras. Digicel as one of the major advertisers will be offering $25 credit each day from Monday, 12th April. To make it even more interesting, persons will be able to win up to $100 credit each Friday in April, but in order to do so they must gave an accurate recap of the topics covered during the week. This will be further enhanced by a lucky person winning a FIFA kit as well as a blackberry, with one month data services courtesy Digicel. Other advertisers on the morning show will also be offering prizes.
