Cool Riderz begins year with Layou donation

THE Cool Riderz Motorcycle club started the year with its community programme by presenting, with the assistance of the District clinic, a food basket to 86-year-old Robert Williams, AKA “BARKIS”, a resident of Layou.{{more}}

Presenting the food basket was one of the club’s upcoming Moto Cross riders young Kevin Jessop, while other club members looked on. This young man and other members in the photo attend the club’s weekly training sessions, both on and off track. The senior members mentor the younger members, ensuring their understanding, appreciation and involvement in community work. The club members also provided the residents of Layou with blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, distribution of health material, counselling on diet, compliance, and the need for prostate and cervical tests.
