The Graduates Calypso Tent will be holding a General Meeting and its first audition tomorrow, Saturday, January 30, 2010, at the office of the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) at Victoria Park commencing at 3:00 p.m.{{more}}

All members and prospective members are requested to attend and to be on time, as the audition sessions will determine the artistes who will grace the stage for the 2010 Calypso season as representatives of the oldest Calypso Tent in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Interested persons are invited to bring along their lyrics, even though their calypsoes are not totally completed, as the aim of the tent is to assist members to ensure their productions are of the best quality and standard.

A release from the tent said they strive to make 2010 “another great year in the annals of our 27 years of existence.”

The auditions will be observed by competent musicians as well as composers of Calypso. “The Graduates Tent is also looking at the possibility of bringing one of its regional counterparts to boost its tent shows and also to assist its membership as it strives to continue the development of this great art form,” the release ended.
