Two receive ECCB Governor’s awards

Two Vincentians were among the five employees of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank who received the 2009 Governor’s Award.{{more}}

Ronald James, Research Officer in the Research Department, and Shermalon Kirby, Corporate Relations Officer in the Corporate Relations Department of the ECCB received the prestigious award at the Bank’s annual staff dinner held at the Marriot Hotel in St Kitts on December 5.

The ECCB Governor’s Award is presented each year to five members of staff below the level of Deputy Director who have demonstrated: The ability to deliver assignments on time; the ability to work as a member of a team; leadership qualities; the ability to work under pressure; strength of character.

Both James and Kirby received the award after just over one year of joining the Bank. They took up duties at the ECCB in September and December 2008, respectively.

James was also appointed as President of the ECCB Staff Association in September 2009.
