SVG and Russia sign consultations protocol

St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Russian Federation on Monday, October 26, signed a Protocol of Intentions on Political Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the respective countries.{{more}}

The Protocol puts a mechanism in place for consultations on international issues that are of interest to both countries, and with a view to promoting bilateral relations between the States. Consultations will be held alternately in Kingstown and in Moscow, once every two years. Such consultations will be held in accordance with the obligations of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Russian Federation, under the United Nations Charter.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Trade, Sir Louis Straker, signed the Protocol on behalf of the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, while His Excellency Ambassador Paval Sergiev signed on behalf of the Russian Federation.
