7 vie for Miss North Leeward Independence Teen

Seven young beauties are currently preparing to compete for the title of Miss North Leeward Independence Teen.{{more}}

The North Leeward Independence Teen show organized by HottVibes promotion and the North Leeward Independence Theme committee will take place at Petit Bordel on October 23, 2009.

The seven women vying for the crown are Josita Hypolite representing Rose Bank, Lorren Stapleton representing Rose Hall, Octavia John of Petit Bordel, Shemica Spring representing Fitz Hughes, Kathy Pitt representing Troumaca, Trisha Ballantyne representing Spring Village, and Rachel Joseph representing Chateaubelair.

The women will compete in four catagories: Introductory Speech, Independence theme prepared speech, talent and culture wear. The winners will receive trophies, gifts and cash prizes.

Stuart Louie, member of the committee, told Searchlight that persons can expect “talent, beauty and intelligence” from the ladies.

Other entertainment will include First Lady, DJ20, Alla G and DJ Fugitive.

The women are currently being trained in modeling, speech and proper execution of their talents. The committee has other activities planned for the delegates. They will make their first public appearance at Cumberland on Friday, October 9, 2009, followed by a parade on Saturday, October 17, from Rose Hall to Spring Village.
