VOB children get hope for life

Hope for Life Restoration Ministries Hosts Kingdom of the Son VBS.

The atmosphere at the Hope for Life Restoration Ministries is being transformed into a veritable ‘jungle’ this week as the Christian Education Department holds its annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) under the theme ‘Kingdom of the Son’.{{more}} Some 80 youngsters ranging from kindergarteners to pre-teens are being exposed to exotic animals, creative craft as well as playing exciting games and singing upbeat songs all based on the theme.

And while they are having fun, they are also learning how to talk to God through prayers. Organizers Debra Barbour and Roxanne Woodley, along with several volunteers from the church and from the visiting ship, Logos Hope are supervising the young people.

Kingdom of the Son VBS will culminate this weekend with a massive outdoor activity dubbed ‘Kids’ Praise’ at the Sion Hill Hard Court on Saturday starting at 10:00 am. Then on Sunday morning the youngsters will take over as they present the lessons they have learned during the church service at Hope for Life Restoration Ministries, starting at 9:00.

Parents and guardians are invited to take their children/wards to share in this worthwhile activity.
