Digicel’s giving away ‘Mad Money’ to customers

Digicel’s latest promotion dubbed ‘Mad Money’ will surely make this summer a bigger, better and brighter one for five of Digicel’s lucky customers by giving them each EC$20,000.

The latest promotion that will make five Digicel customers EC$20,000 richer was launched last Friday with a motorcade through Kingstown. The promotion is for both prepaid and postpaid customers.{{more}}

Explaining the latest promo, Marketing Manager at Digicel Juno DeRoche said that persons are entered automatically in the promo when they talk for three minutes (Free After 3), when they talk for five minutes (free after 5), top up $15 or more, pay their bill on time or purchase a handset.

One Customer will be randomly selected daily Monday through Friday and given a Golden Ticket (Raffle Ticket). The customers will be picked during the Mad Money Draw radio programme which will be broadcasted live. After two weeks, one of the ten persons will then be randomly selected in another draw where one of them will take home EC$20,000.

Five of these draws will be done with the first one taking place on July 03. The other draw dates are July 17, July 31, August 14 and August 28, 2009. The draws will be announced over the radio and take place at different locations.

DeRoche added that, “there is a chance to win each time the requirement is met; however; roaming customers are unable to participate”.

Last Friday, Cornelius Edwards who is a Driver with the Social Investment Fund (SIF) became the first recipient of a Golden Ticket which puts him in the draw. Collecting his raffle ticket at The Cell on Halifax Street, Edwards said that he was delighted to be given a one in ten chance of winning EC$20,000. He revealed that if he won the money, “I will pay off my mortgage and bank the rest”. Edwards, along with nine other golden ticket winners will know their fate on July 3rd.
