Lowman wins Digicel text JAZZ promotion

This weekend, a number of music lovers in the Caribbean will witness performances by Beres Hammond, Chaka Khan, Bebe Winans, Patti La Belle and others.{{more}}

But few of them will be able to boast of seeing these acts for free. Thanks to telecommunications giant Digicel, this Sunday May 9th will be a special day for Digicel customer Alicia Lowman.

Lowman and her mother Yvonne, both from Barrouallie, leave for an all expense paid trip to St.Lucia Jazz tomorrow. Lowman is the winner of the Digicel text JAZZ to 7171 promotion.

Collecting her winnings at the Corporate Offices of Digicel last Wednesday, Lowman said that she is very happy to have won the trip, “I feel appreciated; I have been with Digicel from the start and they are a good company”.

She said that she sent out 25 texts from her Nokia 1200 handset.

“This is the first time that I have ever won anything and I would like to tell Digicel to keep up the good work”, smiled Lowman who added that she has never been to St.Lucia and is looking forward to seeing Beres Hammond perform.

As part of her winnings, Lowman also received a Blackberry Pearl, US$150 spending money, departure tax, ground transport in St.Lucia and hotel accommodation for May 9th and 10th. She also received VIP passes for the shows. She is expected to return to St.Vincent on Monday. The prizes were handed over by Digicel’s Marketing Manager Juno DeRoche.
