President Ahmadinejad made the remark in a meeting with the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Ralph E. Gonsalves in Tehran.

“We seek a new type of world in which all enjoy equal rights, welfare and development,” said the Iranian president.

According to the Information Bureau of the presidential office, during the meeting, President Ahmadinejad said the
contemporary world is full of discrimination, lies, pressure, conflicts and poverty.

It is incumbent upon all people across the world to collaborate in building a new world based on independence, brotherhood, peace and security, he said.

Certain individuals have divided the world in order to reap the benefits more than others, he said, adding that the era of seeking more incentives and rights at the United Nations and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is over because it is not fair that a small minority governs the world and the remaining majority suffers from poverty and hardship.

Referring to the current friendly ties between Iran and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, he said the two sides should cooperate to attain more development and bolster their ties at international level.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to help bolster and develop such bilateral ties, he said.

The visiting Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, for his part, briefed President Ahmadinejad on the latest developments in his country, region, as well as the globe and described the outcome of his negotiations with Iranian officials as positive.

Given Iran’s excellent geo-political and strategic position in the region and the world, he called for further consolidation of ties and relations between the two countries to meet the two sides’ interests.
