Rockies resident wins Digicel’s ‘Stamp to Win’

“Digicel’s service makes me feel like number one”. Those comments came from Rockies resident Cornelius Edwards. Edwards won the ‘Stamp to Win’ Grand prize draw which rewarded him with a trip for two to the Union Island Easterval celebrations.{{more}} As part of that package, Edwards also received accommodation, transportation, EC$3,000 spending money, a high end handset and passes to the soca monarch competition and tickets for J’ouvert celebrations. Edwards journeyed to Union Island last Friday and returned to the mainland on Tuesday. He collected his winnings last week Thursday at the Corporate Offices of Digicel from Marketing Manager Juno DeRoche.

Before leaving for Easterval, Edwards commented, “I feel overwhelmed about winning this trip; I was looking forward to winning something for quite a while because I have been using the service since inception”. He added that he has never been to Union Island and, “I was not really planning to go to Union but I know that I will enjoy it thanks to Digicel,” said the Driver with the Social Investment Fund.

Marketing Manager DeRoche said that the Stamp to Win Promotion was part of Digicel’s sixth anniversary celebrations. During the handing over ceremony, DeRoche thanked customers for their support over the years while promising, “bigger and exciting things to come”. DeRoche also mentioned the text JAZZ to 7171 Promotion which give persons the chance to win tickets to St.Lucia Jazz.

Digicel’s 6th anniversary promotion called, ‘Stamp to Win’ began on March 9th and ended on April 7th. Persons entered the promotion by topping up EC$15 or more, purchasing a new handset or buying a SIM card from authorized Digicel Dealers. Any of these transactions earned you a stamp card which was initialed by the Store Manager. Any of the above mentioned transaction done after the initial purchase were marked on the stamp card and when the card had six transactions recorded on it, you were entered in a draw for a weekly prize. Weekly prizes included cricket merchandise, Nokia handset and call credit. The Grand Prize draw was a trip for two to Union Island Easterval, Easterval Soca Monarch and J’Ouvert tickets, a high end handset and EC$3000 cash.
